RN PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Travel Position Location: Roseburg, OR Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 5x8 Days Pay: $2,602/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Roseburg, Oregon. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients in both Pre-Op and Post-Anesthesia (Phase I & II) recovery settings. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple perioperative environments, including MMC and ORSC, while caring for a diverse surgical population. Key Responsibilities * Deliver expert nursing care in Pre-Op, PACU, and Recovery phases. * Assess, monitor, and manage post-surgical patients through Phase I and II recovery. * Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to life-threatening arrhythmias. * Administer medications, IV therapies, and recovery interventions per anesthesiologist orders. * Prepare patients for surgery and coordinate safe handoff to OR and PACU staff. * Provide patient and family education regarding post-anesthesia expectations and discharge instructions. * Ensure documentation accuracy in Meditech EMR and paper charting as applicable. * Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members. * Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards across all perioperative units.
